Yep ours does the same thing in a slip. At 6'-4" I can see the problem. That REAL sharp edge had me concerned also. We are all in the 5'-11" range so the 8-50s help us a bunch.
Son was stationed in Bremerton when he was The Air Boss of the Nimitz and he lived in Port Orchard. We kept our planes at Bremerton National and I spent a lot of time in the area. A beautiful area for sure. Just a little to cold and wet for me. But when the weather is good it is outstanding flying. We had a lot of great times at Bremerton Airport. I ate a bunch of fish & chips at the Airport Diner. If you get down that way give it a shot.
Bremerton also has a good engine shop.

Yes they do. I can't remember the name of the Guy who runs the place, but a very good and helpful Guy. We had two cylinders on the Pacer that were not great. He took the good parts from our cylinders and put them in two that he had in stock. Worked out a very good price for us.

Pat is the owner and who I go to for engine questions. Avian is the name of the company. I think they are the best in our area.

Re: Super Pacer (Bushmaster) Modification
We were thinking about you Steve and you were the topic of much discussion among Bob, Dave and I. Bob flew the PA11 so no ice cream, pretty cool temps this year.

Where is this place? Looks interesting!
I assume the approach isn't like what I can see in the distance!

Re: Super Pacer (Bushmaster) Modification
Wilson Bar in Idaho. You make a quick left turn up the river at the end of the strip.

Re: Super Pacer (Bushmaster) Modification
Made the first flight yesterday!
I have some rigging adjustments to make. Thanks for the advice Steve.
Today is annual inspection, 337 sign off and rigging adjustments.
It flys differently. It was off noticeably sooner, it cruised about 100 mph at 2450 and landing......very different, I used Pacer numbers and it floated forever, got to slow it down. Since it was flying with a heavy left wing and some left rudder I chose not to explore low speeds yesterday. A real report will be coming up.
Sorry, I missed J Creek, Riffle.....of course.....told me it was "The greatest trip.....ever!"

Congratulations Stephen! So-what is the next mod you are thinking about? Will it be ready for Johnson Creek next year? You can't seem to leave that Pacer alone.
