    Default Gone Fishing

Had a great day out on the ice today, +5C and sunny. Caught a 4 lb lake trout. My wife and I already ate half of it for dinner.

    Harold,
Where is the fishing shelter? I'm envious. Eddie Foy and I are going to try it in early April on Lake Christiansen, AK (AK.

Nice Harold, funny seeing you in that fold up chair. I see pictures of these guys in these ice fishing cabins that are heated and like a mini apartment.

We had 3 ft. of ice yesterday. It took less than a minute to drill through it with a good ice auger (6" Fin-Bore III).

The guys with ice fishing shacks do well but they are limited to lakes that they can drive into. The lake we were on is even difficult to reach by snowmobile but for us, it was an easy 50 minute flight.

Harold, you're just a sucker for cold weather! Still remember you struggling to get out of your frozen one-man tent at Steve's two years ago.

Me, I'm in Phoenix. Visited the Cactus Fly-in last weekend, headed to Tucson tomorrow. Love that sunshine!

    Those are the best spots.
