Or find 10 people interested in it to chip in $25. each and no out a pocket.

Well I learned the hard way...wish I would have known about this thread. I flew to my dads ranch last night and parked the plane over night. It was on a hill. I Left the Maul selector in the off position like I normally do. Woke up this morning with the left tank empty and the right tank full. Sounds like I should have left the selector in the left or right position instead of the both or off.
Also, that Fuel ran along the wing to the tip. There is a lot of blue sticky stuff. I hope it didn’t eat away at the fabric or dope.

I am sure that I have seen somewhere in the past where someone had modified a standard PA22 fuel valve by removing the valve core and drilling one of the holes all the way through, changing the L drilling to a T drilling. It may have been on the SWPC website, but I don't subscribe to that any more.
The mod gave a left/right/both/off capability.
It's not something I want to do on my PA22(I prefer the original system anyway!), but it could solve an issue with the fuel system on the WW1 Albatros fighter project that I'm helping my son with.
Does anyone have any 'insight' into this modification?

It is part of the fuel system modification Cub Crafters sells for the PA18. They cross drill for the Both position.

Here is the drawing. Note this is for a 180 hp Super Cub so enlarging the valve might not be needed.
