So you painted the ORATEX and you can repair it without doing anything to the pained surface?

This is not true. OT is approved as an iron on repair to any system according to Lars.

Doesn't that still mean it's being glued/stuck/ironed over a coat of paint? I've seen a lot of paint that is barely holding on and would suspect any repair done over it, regardless of systems used. Running over a paint with an iron even sounds worse.

I understand your position... I've repaired those very same conditions. The fact remains that they have plenty of success in real world conditions in ak using ot as a patching solution. On ac that are already loosing paint, patching is the least of your worries....
