Hi Nimbus and welcome to the best shortwing forum on the web. Lots of discussions on the site regarding wing tips. Also a lot of good discussion on the supercub.org site:

Ron Sullivan wing extensions and tips are your best bet.

I agree. They reduce induced drag, increase lift, increase glide and do not reduce cruise.

Do you mean the upswept "winglets" like on an airliner? Don't believe I have ever seen anything like that on a shortwing.

Those are Demer Droop Tips, or Madras Droop Tips, they are an old technology and not the best solution these days.
Sullivan wing tips or Stewart wing tips are superior.
Or for a lot less money and work you could install Vortex Generators (VG's) it all depends on what your mission is.

Where to you plan to operate your plane (obviously Argentina!) but what is field elevation, lots of mountains, off airport landings, normal weather and temperatures, etc.

    Good luck!

I have seen video of a tufted wing and those tips work great for keeping the air directed over the wing and across the aileron. The straight tips like Stewart and Sullivan give extra wing area and lift but don't keep the air from spilling off the tip when slow.

Not sure what's "normal" as this is the only Pacer (or any plane) I've flown. We have the droop tips and I've never noticed any slow aileron response in any phase of flight. Is that typically something others encounter? I also wouldn't consider my typical flying pushing the envelope either.
