Airport Courtesy Cars Phone App & Website
I am new to these forums but not to Short Wings, bought my first one back in the 70's, a 1960 Colt. I currently own a 1952 Tri-Pacer, along with a RV-9A that I built. On my way to OSH a couple of years ago I was looking for airports with courtesy cars, as I was planning the trip to take 2 days from Arizona. I realized there was no central list for these cars, so I started reaching out and making a list. It quickly grew so I made it into a smart phone app. As of today, the app is approaching 10,000 downloads to pilots. The app is totally free. After hearing more feedback from users, I recently converted the data into a website, so now it works on ANY device, not just some. The minor difference between the app and website is how maps get viewed.
The app can be found in either Google Play store or Apple App store, do a search for "Airport Courtesy Cars." (It can be downloaded on an iPad, but since it is a phone app you need to change our search options to search for phone apps on the iPad). Or on the web at http://airportcourtesycars.com/ You will find over 1580 airports that have cars. Also, I have a few advertisers that help pay for the site. If you are an aviation business please contact me for a very reasonably priced ad that will be viewed by thousands. I am also working on providing low cost ads for FBO's that will offer a fuel discount for pilots who have the app. There are several there now, so check out the discount page. Might save you a few bucks on fuel.
Thanks for looking, if you have a location that I missed, or find an error in any listing, please let me know and I will fix it, email me at. airportcars101@gmail.com Glenn

Re: Airport Courtesy Cars Phone App & Website
Thanks that's a good thing I will use it. I heard once that the most dangerous thing about flying was the courtesy cars! I landed in a airport in Nebraska once in the 80s got in the car and it had a milk crate for a seat but it beat walking

Re: Airport Courtesy Cars Phone App & Website
Thanks for the cars you sent in, I added them to the list. Also, Here is a current listing of FBO's that offer a fuel discount if you show the A.C.C.'s app. Maybe there is one near you.
Please support these FBO's, they support G.A.
And check back for other FBO's being added to the list.

KCCB Upland-Cable Airport, California
KGCK Saker at Garden City, Kansas
KHDC Hammond Air in Hammond, Louisiana

Your welcome Glen! But shouldn't you have 2 "n's" in your name? Glenn

Re: Airport Courtesy Cars Phone App & Website
Did something happen to this app? It shows as unavailable now. I was planning a trip and looking forward to using the app for it. It must have been too much hassle to maintain the app?
