cleveland drum brakes

Hi All

I need some help. where would i find the parts book and /or manual for a brake cylinder on a DHB-3 drum brake assy. the wheel cylinder has decided to no longer keep the hydraluic fluid inside and puke all over the wheel..... mumble mumble

does anyone know the part numbers of the associated seals- been searching on the web- having no luck

They can get munched if the shoes wear so much that the oring peeks out past the edge of the brake cylinder.
Buy at least a dozen from any reputable oring supply. You will possibly need several as you learn the installation technique.
So be sure to look for the bit that was sheared off from the oring, it may be swimming around in the cylinder.
Do a search of "bleeding brakes" for ideas on how to best bleed system after replacing the hardware.

Looks like I'm in the same boat. Ordered the rubber O-rings from Univair, but they can keep their wheel cylinder/sleeve and piston parts for the price they're asking. HOLY COW! Do any of you know where to get them for a reasonable price? I wonder if I were to have a dozen wheel cylinder/piston complete assemblies made, if I could sell them for a reasonable price to shortwing owners. So again, do you all know of any sources for these parts out there?

There are usually some wheel cylinders & phone elated parts available from planes upgraded to disc brakes, like I just did on 14P.
Send me a private message with your contact info &phone and I think I can set you up with my old ones removed from my plane.
They are kinda grundgy but should be serviceable

Yep all good now
the shoes where also badly adjusted- the plunger was coming out one side- got that straightened out

Does your Colt have disc or drum brakes? What year model is it?
