    Default Looking for D Windows

Looking for a set of D Windows to install in a colt. Just wanted to check and see if anyone has any laying around from an old fuselage they would be willing to part out

    Hi,

You would be better off going to your local hardware store and picking up some Plexiglass and cutting your own pieces.

I think some guys have gotten Cub or super Cub window frames and cut and did some minor mod to make them fit.
I'm sure steve will chime in.

Check with Dee Wygant at Copper River Airmotive, 907-822-4004. I sold the colt frame I had to him so i know he has those window frames. Don't remember their condition though. Likely need sandblasting at least. He's likely got other fuselages to pick off of up there as well.

Sounds like you got a serious project going on.

Used D windows are usually rotted out. Try Airframes Chugiak or order from Univair. I use the left hand J3 frame and cut a section out to match the original Clipper and early Pacer/Tri-Pacer pattern.

I also used J 3 windows. I reshaped and cut them down.
