Piper Tri-Pacer Brackets on eBay - what are these?
Hi All,
Saw this on eBay and I'm stumped.
Any ideas if these are really Tri-Pacer parts?

Those don't look like any brackets on our Tri-Pacer. Perhaps for a different variation, or for floats, skis, wheelpants?

Never seen those parts before. Appear to be some sort of control (throttle, mixture) bracket.

Why not ask the seller? Are they all from the same plane? Who took them off? Where did the seller get them and who testified as to what they are?

Good idea! I used the ebay "ask the seller a question" button and posted the following:
Are these brackets all from the same aircraft?
What is their function or where are they installed on the aircraft?
I have a Tri-Pacer and have never seen these parts before.
Check back on the ad and maybe we'll see an answer!

The n number on the pictured tag brings up a Cherokee 140

I just looked at the ad. No questions to the seller listed. I looked up the N#, and it did show a PA22-108.

So here is what I heard from the seller:
"New message from: big-props-aviation (2,293Red Star)
These may or may not definitely be from a tri-pacer. The only thing I had to go off to identify these was that removal tag with the tail number on it which looked to be from a tri-pacer. They look to be some sort of mount brackets. Wish I knew more to help out."
Based on the tag, I think it's either N55482 Cessna 172, or N55492 PA24 Commanche.
And here's an unhappy NTSB report on that PA24:

I suspect these are Cessna Parts, and sent the seller a message to that effect.
I love a good airplane mystery!
