    Default Mystery cable

I have this cable that's 20" long, I can't find it anywhere in the parts CD and don't know where it's supposed to go. Anyone have ideas? It's not the safety cables on the gear as those are installed and shorter. IMG_2186.jpg

Pretty sure thats the brake cable for the old style bar type. from the break cylinder mounted inside the firewall. The rust in the centre kinda gives it away. As water always leaked on from the cowling and dripped on the cable causing ti to finally rust little just where it entered the firewall.

Right but I have a Clipper, with hydraulic brakes. But thanks! Maybe something for the interior?

PacerGuy, I checked the Ski Drawings and it doesn't list cables in that lenghth, but the Float drawing has once cable close to 20" but this plane as far as I know was never on floats.

Something someone made themselves. Not an original Piper cable since it doesn't have the single swedge. Never seen a cable like that installed in a Clipper.

Well, now you know where it's supposed to go: In the junk drawer.
