I started out calling her my "Hum-Baby". Since the first day I flew her I have just called her "My Baby", since we are officially "in love".

My airplane was named before I got it .. I'm stuck with it I guess .. if you can't make it out, the name "Stubby" is painted on the cowl above the stripe.

I named her "Freebird" ...as she is the first plane I've owned outright without financing. Whew!

Started calling mine Trip, after the 145mph wind blew her on her back it was Bad Trip...

After the rebuild everyone started calling her The Batplane so it stuck! At the time it was the only all black plane in alaska but now there are many. Good friends of mine are recovering their Citabria and just the other day handed me a can of SS top coat while quickly looking away and taking a step back! Yep, midnight black. It's like a club now!

My 182 was The Bigwheel, you know, like the plastic trike we all had back in the day! It came on as a joke while I was pacing the hanger one evening. I started laughing like a madman when the idea poped into my head. She was defenestrated, among other things, by a buddy landing short last year....

Mine is the psychologist, because its the only place I can just plain relax. No phones, no clients, no problems, for an hour or two at a time. I would bet that the tri pacer is cheaper than a real shrink, and definitely more fun.

My '55 Tri-Pacer is 2714P, so I call her "One For Papa".
Before I had the plane I had an email handle PapaPilot, so it seems to fit.

And my wife calls her "The Other Woman".
