Yup, know what you mean. I saw it at JC last year. He's pretty proud of his new baby.

Thanks for a good laugh.

Great idea! Just months pay so I can take the time off. Also, I will need a set of 26's to be ready for all the excursions from J.C.!

Re: Johnson Creek June 15-18th
This was supposed to be a picture of my Pacer at JC with a joke about "where is everybody?" or something like that. Unfortunately I discovered a broken tail post before departure so I had to beg for rides with various folks in the group I was going with. (Apparently folks think flying to Idaho with a broken tail post isn't a good idea!?)
I'm with a group from WI who did an Idaho trip this week. JC is as beautiful as ever. A couple WI boys helped the caretaker split some wood for everyone so you can a fire. Told him to be sure to let you (SJ in particular) know we helped. New caretakers seem very nice but don't.
Pass along the word to be extra careful of the white house this year. One of our group got an earful (guy drove down just to speak his mind) after landing to the north due to the prevailing winds. That same individual will be here this next week. The caretaker is aware of all this and apparently the residents know there will be a lot of planes here next week.
Enjoy your time next week everyone who is going! We're off to Wilson Bar once the clouds lift!

Re: Johnson Creek June 15-18th
We had a great time at Johnson Creek, total of 37 hours flying. Putting together a web album of my hundreds of pictures. Oh, and bender's 160 hp Pacer kicked my Super Cub's butt climbing out of the gorges and drainages. He also gets the iron Butt award for 14 hrs in a day getting there.

Steve, How long are the strips at Thomas and Sulphur Creeks? Can a Tri-Pacer with stock gear and wheels land there? Thanks.

Re: Johnson Creek June 15-18th
Does anyone have a camping equipment list they'd like to share. Maybe one minimalist sort of list for high altitude rough country and then a luxury list for Oshkosh? Trying to figure it all out for the first time...
Thanks.

Re: Johnson Creek June 15-18th
I think you need to put your Clipper back together and put a 160hp in it.
