The E04 can be hooked into your GPS to send the GPS position.

Thank you for the replies! It looks like internal gps will fit the bill since the aircraft lacks a GPS. Is the hat shelf/package shelf a solid enough location or should we mount somewhere more solid?

Mine isn't, heck it isn't even bolted down! I've seen an install on a platform mounted behind the baggage compartment but that owner isn't on here.

    Excellent accomplishment!

Chewy you should be proud. Jonathan worked hard from Solo to Private Pilot in 48 days.

It seems a little flimsy. Will it be secure enough for the new ELT?
Buy him an iPhone and get the free app Find My iPhone. Could get a Garmin inReach. With all of the ELT's you are counting on the government to find you. Think about that. Congrads Jon.

406 ELT and Delorme in reach. You can follow his track as he fly, text him in the air, and never worry if he is out of cell range. The ELT will tell rescue the location of the plane not the 20 mile square area to search.

Thank you everyone! He worked really hard to finish it up before school started. Now he is asking about taking the plane to school with him. You guys did caution me about that!
