It has one less full rib and two less nose ribs with a lower vne so NO.

Not even if you also install the PA22-135 airspeed indicator with the "lower airspeed markings"?

Sure but I would consider it a major alteration and seek a field approval and flight manual supplement approval.

I'm going to agree with Steve on this one although I've seen more then a few of these 135 wings on 150/160 Tripacers.

I also have to add though, I've never seen Vne in a Tripacer.

    Hi,

Just curious how a STC for swapping out a 135 for a 150 install gets around the wing rib count difference. I can't say I'm familiar with the vne of the various Piper models, if that's what's happening between original 135 and 150/60 planes.

The VNE does not change. My 11 rib Clipper with a 150 retains all of the Clipper V speed restrictions as well as the W&B and gross weight.

Back in the good old days you could get a gross weight increase based on the increased HP; which I was able to do on a field approval. Now days must go thru engineering noe.

Thanks to those whom have responded to my wing question. Unfortunately not the answers I was hoping for. After talking to FSDO, which had no interest in my question/problem or solution, I have purchased a set of repairable 22-150 wings and starting the do over......I now have For Sale, a set of 12 rib wings with fresh poly cover AND STC'd Stewart Tips installed, new aileron cables, wing tip strobe wires, painted Daytona White with Tennessee Red leading edge..... So much for trusting the IA with whom I dealt with and traded for the current fiasco. Please message me if any interest.
