    I thought maybe safety wire but not sure why it would be there.

    SMcNutt, did you end up using both Peter's brackets? I'm looking at a broken rt side bracket, which has also been repaired -- looks like at least twice before. Do you still have the breakage problem?

    Walt, I just picked up an old brass oil cooler at Sun & Fun that had the brackets installed, that is why I bought it, have a stack of those coolers. I will get with you when I get home.

    We did install the whole set from Peter and not had any more problems. We still have the old ones but I suspect they are too old/brittle and prone to breaking. Was thinking of using them to make a fixture for making new ones...its on the to-do list.

    Ive got a 1957 Tri-Pacer with a broken cooler bracket and a 1958 Tri-Pacer with a Stewart Oil Cooler STC......Does anyone have the Stewart oil cooler that can share how its working with the front oil cooler deleted....?
