Did anyone see this at OSH 2017 this year?

Been discussing it on the ShortWings@Oshkosh thread. Looks pretty neat.

Hopefully it doesn't go the way of their Pingbuddy2.

My question is will it be a TSO'd unit and be able to be certified for use on our old pipers

Instead of hard wiring it to the battery, put a small battery in it and velcro it to the wingtip, done.

Since that is an antenna, wouldn't it need some kind of metal grounding plane?

according to videos on there site, it should be certified early 2018, cost about $1500 It replaces existing light and socket, two wire connection hot & ground then registered to your plane via a smart phone app. I would really like to see something this easy work out. I use the ping on my Ifly for in and it works just fine

Lord Bless these people, and let's send body guards to their plant to keep the FAA hit men away. I have been saying for years that great ADSB expense is NOT because of high technology. It is because the "Big Boys"
manufacturers were told years ago that the FAA would "take care of them" and make sure they were making scads of money with this simple concept. Is it really as simple as I have been saying ? Lessee, what if for
$500.00 you had something that allowed voice back and forth, navigation, data transmission, math calculation, video displays, memory storage, message transmission, and can guide you from Phoenix to San Diego
and tell you every turn within 50 feet of when it is needed , and stream old movies at the same time? Pretty neat but impossible you say, NO! you already got it, it is called a CELL PHONE. If a cell phone can do
all of that from in your pocket, then why does something mounted out in the open on your airplane that all it does is barf a few dozen bytes of data to the ground cost thousands of dollars ? I love these guys !
