I have the Trig unit installed in my Cub, and I have found the built in intercom works great. When I fly with the door open, a quick adjustment of the intercom squelch takes care wind noise issues. I was advised before I installed the Trig comm, that the built in intercom would not be satisfactory, I have found that not to be the case. I'm not smart enough to do what Steve does in his installations.
