Someone told me they owned a Pacer with an O-235, did they make some or is he off his rocker?

Re: O-235 Pacers?
I saw that on 1A4, just thought it was something like a W code 68 mustang http://performance.ford.com/enthusia...tang-myth.html
An option but none ever produced.

Re: O-235 Pacers?
No flaps also. There is only one PA20-115 on the FAA registry. Somewhere in Oklahoma.

Re: O-235 Pacers?
I have my eye on a local Colt with a high time O-235, I can get it at a fair price. If I find a Pacer with a low time O-320 can I swap the engines and legally put the O-235 in the Pacer since it is on the TCDS and try to sell it, emphasizing the try LOL, like to have a 150 hp Colt.
Or does the Pacer have to be a serial number that was fitted with an O-235 new to put one in it?
I realize the Colt will need an STC, but hoping the Pacer will not since the O-235 is on the PA-20 TCDS.

Re: O-235 Pacers?
Your biggest problem may be finding the correct AFM. The one that Univair sells for the 115 is the wrong date as what is shown on the TCDS.

Re: O-235 Pacers?
Hi all
Slight thread hijack for an unashamed ad - if there is an unwanted out of time (or high time) useable 0-235 C1 or C1B to be had for around $2K I'd sure like to hear about it
Cheers

So....do you have a copy of the 20-115 Flight manual? And did you make the change in models with just a logbook entry?
