I use a Aluminium (Hartzel) 74x56 on my PA22/20 160HP with 26" tires and Sullivan wind tip mods, Vortex Gens.
2400 RPM, 1500'MSl, 105MPH, @ 8.1 GPH using fuel totalizer
Yes I also have tried the 74" which is great for climb but fuel burn was high. I did not have my fuel totalizer installed for this test.
appears the 56-57 is best compromise for our pacers for back country and cruise travel.
