    Default Nose wheel shimmy damper

    Hi all
I am doing an annual inspection on a 1952 Tri-Pacer and found the shimmy damper assembly is missing. I am having trouble finding one. Does anyone know where I may be able to find one?
Any help would be apreciated. Leo Fox.

Check with Dee Wygant at Copper River Airmotive. I sold him my basket of Colt couple years ago and I think it had the shimmy shock amongst the parts.

What parts are you actually needing for the shimmy dampener. I am headed home today and can look thru my "just in case" boxes of piper parts i know i have some parts for the shimmy dampener and might even have the dampener itself . Been to long since I put it all away. you can text a list of what you need to my phone tomorrow. I would also post the need list on here. I will not have cell signal until then.

According to the parts catalog it looks like it should be PN: 21701-06. I am in need of the whole assembly. There is nothing there now. I am surprised he didn't have a bad nose wheel shimmy1512070400858555438918.jpg

    Leo,
We have one off of a Colt. It looks like low time and works smoothly.
    Let me know if interested.

Thanks Frogdad. The shimmy dampner is on and works great.
