Looking for PA 22/20 in West Tx area
Anyone know of a good, ready to fly PA 22/20 for sale anywhere close to West Texas? I’m ready to buy with cash in hand, a good PA 22/20. I prefer newer recover, O320, sealed struts, Cleveland wheels/brakes, AD’s, SB819 complied with, etc. No projects.
Thanks,
Les

You might take some time and read through on this site, there is good advice on purchasing PA22/20's. Also, an airplane kept in a hangar will usually have good fabric even if it is older. Good luck and welcome.

Re: Looking for PA 22/20 in West Tx area
Good advice. I have spent many an hour on this site over several years. This site and community were integral in my decision to purchase a SWP.
This will be the aircraft I teach my son to fly.
I do have tailwheel time in a SWP, so I hope I know what I’m getting into!
Thanks

The best investment you can make towards buying/owning a SWP is to become a paying member of this board. What you learn from the people on this board will save you thousands just in the short term. Once you purchase it will become invaluable.
I learned to fly in our pa-22/20 and it was a great experience. I couldn't imagine doing it any other way. How old is your son?

If it is going to be a trainer make sure it has brakes on both sides.

I appreciate all the messages on aircraft for sale and advice that was generated from this request. What a great community! The best in GA.
I ended up buying my partner out on our Maule, so am out of the hunt for a Shortwing.
Thanks again for all the help. You guys have the best community I have encountered in aviation for a great airplane.
