Default fun flight and sunet cruise

Got out and enjoyed the clear cold smooth air a few days ago.

As with anything AK in the winter, preheat starts a couple hours before flight time. A little rip across the inlet to run a couple rivers low level chasing shadows and laying some tracks in the fresh snow. Returned to the airport and refueled then took a little sunset cruise to Homer and back.preheating.jpgcrossing the inlet.jpgchasing shadows.jpgaugustine sunset.jpgaugustine sunet 2.jpgaugustine sunet 1.jpghomer harbor.jpgsoldotna night.jpglow level river run.jpg

Those are some very nice shots, and I agree the shadow shot is very cool! I have to ask....What kind of skis are those, they look wooden?
