Re: Tires
The sight picture is the only thing I remember as being different. I ahve flown with everything from 6" tires up to 29" on a Pacer and that was the main difference I remember.

Re: Tires
Cool, gonna order the 26's they sound like a good compromise for my mission.

Re: Tires
For funs and giggles, this is the sight picture of a Pacer with 31-inch Bush Wheels. Notice how the cowl is slightly above the horizon.
Gives you some comparison if you're running a standard size wheel.

Bushwheel Bill (got Bushwheels going until he sold to Airframes Alaska a few years ago) is here visiting. I asked him about this cupping. He said this happened with the bias ply tires where it cupped as it rolled and picked up rocks and slung them aft. He said when they started making the radial tires the cupping issue was resolved. Thanks for your comments, I learned something new today.

Re: Tires
Here is a good comparison pic of 26 Goodyear’s with a set of 29 inch and 31 inch Bushwheel’s next to them.IMG_3282.jpgIMG_3283.jpg

Re: Tires
I am not sure why those pics came out so small! I can send them to you direct. I have several different views. I just cannot get away with the Bushwheel's as my full time tire. The airport I fly out of requires quite a bit of taxiing. I think the Goodyear's are going to be a good compromise.

Re: Tires
I ended up with 850-6. my wife was gonna kill me spending the money on 26" tires. any recommendations for tire pressure PA20/22 160. Unloaded pressure from dresser is 30psi. Im thinking more like 15-20 psi. Any thoughts on this is always much appreciated.

Did you get ribbed or the smooth aero classics?

Re: Tires
Depends on what kind of surface. I usually ran about 18 psi. If the strips were rough down around 12-15. Below that you risk shearing a valve stem if you get on the brakes. I know people who have gotten by with lower but it can bite you.
