Brought this one home today. 8 hours from Ks to SC.

This was my first Pacer flts. Although I'm very experienced in Tailwheel flying. Some thoughts, very comfy seats. Good legroom. I'm 6' 3". Flies like the antique it is. Not as stable as more modern planes. But loads of fun.

My first landing wasn't great. My approach speed was way high and didn't flare enough. I've been flying King Airs too much. Couldn't make myself slow down to 60mph final speed. I improved.

Don't get anywhere near ice. Engine is gonna carb ice and sputter.

It basically wouldn't stall power on with flaps full. A/S hovered around 20mph as plane descended a few hundred feet per minute, no buffet, stick full back. Crazy.

It's a great plane. I got it for my son to get some good experience and also to do some tailwheel endorsements. Gonna be perfect.

Gonna add toe breaks to rt side. Spruce up the panel a little, then off to the races.

Congratulations. That’s a fine looking Pacer. I know you and your son will enjoy it. I think the ShortWing Pipers are great for tailwheel trading. He will definitely learn what the rudder pedals are for.

Great looking airplane. I have not had much problem with carburetor ice on my 0-320 Pacer. Once the oil is up to temperature the carburetor stays warm. I pull on carburetor heat below 2000 rpm but, rarely leave it on for long. You'll figure it out. I am able to get a stall with full flaps and about 2000 rpm at 38 mph indicated. My plane does not break in an approach stall. In landings I approach in the Pacer at 60 mph and full flaps with some power. Smooth landing occur occasionally.

Far out! Great looking PQ-20!!!! Great flight too.
Nice tail wind. Hope the flight was as smooth as it looked on flightaware. Did you file a flight pln and ask for flight following or ? Flightaware has not shown any of my flightfollowing flights for quite some time.

Very nice looking airplane. I got my ticket in our pacer and it wasn't a big deal. Everyone talks about it but I guess using my feet is just second nature now.

9000 is IFR altitude, any IFR flight is shown on that site. VFR I think you are correct, file and call FS and have them open or activate your flight plan, and don't forget to cancel it upon returning to earth

Askin for flight following I don't think is going to activate your flight plan, I think you have to call flight service and have them open the flight plan.
