I have started the daunting process of cleaning out my storage hangar in anticipation of selling my hangar property in Arkansas (H34) and am gathering / researching parts and pieces to put up for sale. First items I ran across was a set of flying wires that I rescued from the junk yard (folks didn't know what they were and were discarding them). These appear to be brand new round rods, 54 inches long. The threads are 5 1/4 inches in length, with a threaded area dimension of 0.190 and the un-threaded portion of the same dimension, indicating that the threads are cut as in the MacWhyte wires rather than the rolled threads of the Brunton wires, which are generally .003 less in diameter than the shaft portion. If anyone know what these would fit, please let me know as I have no idea at this point, except they are too long to be Shortwing piper wing brace wires. May be for an experimental of some type.
