This showed up yesterday, cue school girl giggle fit. Owner produced part from Dawley. Easiest part to fab so far. As easy as writing a check. Totally worth it too.20180706_155236.jpg

Spent most of the weekend eyeballing for the cgr-30p and making up a wiring harness and mount plate for the CO detector. The plate will mount the detector in an unused 2-1/4" instrument hole. Not a lot of pics cause its be kinda boring, "look he soldered a wire; look he soldered another wire!"20180708_152041.jpg20180708_152034.jpg

You will have to explain that one, why owner produced?

I'm assuming due to the modifications for the Trimmer stc. That being the 3" tailpipe and slip joints on the crossovers.
Least wise the paper they shipped with it states it's an owner produced part.

But isn't that per Eddie's STC?

It is. I guess I didn't explain, I had them scratch build me a whole new exhaust. I figured, new motor new exhaust. Really wasn't anything wrong with the old exhaust

They did it that way because they are a repair station and do not hold a PMA. They normally repair your existing exhaust by replacing every bit of it.

Kind of like those people who "remodel" an old house because that permit is easier to get. They leave one original wall and demolish the rest of the structure and build new. However, in the end they again "remodel" and take the remaining original wall out and rebuild it.
