I did Trimmers seaplane doors..left and right. The left side requires you to remove the tube between the front gear mount and the front wing spar mount and replace with the same diameter but thicker wall 4130 tube. Then a diagonal tube from the intersection of the tube you’ve replaced and the horizontal tube at the bottom of the instrument panel. I did both sides for structural reasons. If doing the right side the vertical tube between the front gear mount an front wing spar mount is not replaced...I changed out the right side vertical tube...because I had cut most of it out before I realized the damn fuselage was upside down....you’ll notice additional tubing in the attached picture...as I also installed Trimmer’s PA18 three inch extended gear STC.
