    Actually kind of impressive that these airplanes can take enough wind to bend that bracket without shredding the rest of the plane. Then to have been flown without any significant (assuming this since you think it's been this way for a while) adverse effects on the performance. Pretty solid airplanes.

    I thought the story clearly demonstrated the helpful attitude of the shortwingers! I know from reading it, Cliff certainly appreciated the ALL OUt efforts of everyone involved. Of course, we here know how generous Steve and his dad and other shortwing experts are with time and expertise.

    After reading the article I went out to the hangar to inspect my struts.
