    Default Tri pacer flap repair

I flew my tri pacer for the first time this weekend, and when we landed I noticed a small piece of fabric hanging from my left flap. It looks like it was 2 pieces of fabric overlapped and the top one came loose. I know of procedures to fix a hole or a tear, but I'm not sure if that is how this particular spot should be repaired. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. 20180804_120915.jpg

It would depend on what process was used to cover your flaps (and presumably the rest of the aircraft.) You could dig into the logs, call former owner or examine fabric inside surface, like thru an inspection port or belly hatch, and try to determine what you have and how best to fix it.

Stewart Systems Eco-Bond is approved with any covering process.
    Works really well.

Yup, cut off the loose material, (patch if necessary and use Ecobond) then brush on Stewart's Ecofill. Sand between coats but, don't cut into the fabric. Fly the plane. Finish paint......someday.

Looks like nitrate/butyrate dope process. Looks like just the paint with an edge of a fabric tape in the first picture. The Stewart process described above would be the easiest fix in my opinion.

Looks like a preexesting patch peeling off to me.

The SS glue is the answer.

Best at to have Experienced fabric mechanic look though... It might be telling you something you need to know.

I got the proper adhesive and repaired the flap. Thank you for all the responses to help me get my plane back in the air.
