Milestone Reached
Well two and a half years after waking up 6848B from a 18 year sleep she is back on her wheels. Getting her off the rotisserie has been a long awaited milestone.
Now if I could only learn to paint.

Looking good. 50% done...90% to go. Keep after it.

You'll be happy with the large inspection hole at the tail. I made a similar one on mine.

Re: Milestone Reached
Old3pacer. Its the original door without its skin. I was checking its fit after repairing the bottom of the door and of course after the R & R of the door frame for SB819.

I've heard things change once you hang an engine. I know our door isn't the best fit and I'm assuming it was done before the engine. Others might be able to shed some light on this...or tell me I don't know what I'm talking about.

Re: Milestone Reached
things do change a little when you hang an engine. Brian had the door fitted before the engine was hung and had to do some modification to the door to get it to fit after he hung the engine. I have experienced other oddities, ie door would not close properly when the aircraft was put on jacks.

Re: Milestone Reached
Great planning to check door fit! Observation doors WOULD look very cool.
