Default Wanted - Front & Rear spar extensions

Wanted - spar extensions with spar caps intact.

    Front spar 2x min 18inch U1334
    Rear spar 2x min 17 inch U1023

Need to be a short as possible for shippings to Europe.

Planning on a Stewart wing tip extension if economical to get off cuts.

    Thanks

Got lots...... how many you want? Just those 4 pieces? New or used? Do you have the splice plate material?

    Hi,

As per the description I would like 4 pieces in total, all just oversized so I can cut exactly. New would be ideal. If you have suitably sized 0.09 2024-T3 then I would be interested.

    Regards

    Dean

I believe that with SM 3A it needs to be .125 6061 or better (spars are 6061 T6)..... I have 2024 on hand which will more than work. If I were to have designed this spar splice it would be quite different by taking into consideration the spar caps. But I guess some engineer decided to just making the spar web over 5/16" thick with the (2) .125 plates would work.......... even tho the plates "scale" to about half the spar thickness each in the drawing. Nothing is specified in the SM 3A for the plate thickness but if you do the math on the 1/8" x 1/2" rivet specified it comes out to the 1/8" per side. ....... and I believe that is what is in the splice "kits".

PM me if you don't find a closer source and I can get this together for you.
