Default Brace wires for a Vagabond

At some stage I think I will replace my tailplane brace wires with new stainless steel wires.

Was there something published (some time ago) about use of streamlined wires and the possibility of them cracking?

I will probably go for normal round wires but wondered if streamlined was still an option?

Round wires are best in my opinion. No worries about one breaking.
I’ve replaced all the ends and hardware, never seen the need to replace the round wires.

In case you had not seen this before, this is the AD addressing the tail brace wires.

Thanks for the info. I have quite a bit of pitting on my bracing wires which I don't like.
More of my monthly pay cheque (check?) going to Univair very soon.......

That is very interesting and I have never heard of Javron Aviation before.
    Would their components be "approved"?
Also, I wonder if stainless steel is used insteda of ordinary?

Anything I purchased from them was experimental. Some might call it owner built.

Yes, Experimental parts. They had a rash of tail brace wire clevis' breaking recently. When investigated there were marks on the parts from the forming dies and this is where they failed.
