    Dale,

My prospective new owner asked me about the plane & I told him I did know of it's origin - you. So, that said, may I confer with you relative to the details of N1231C? He (the prospective new owner), learned to fly in a Citabria. His current aircraft is a Cherokee 140 with a 150 hp lyc - not enjoying the nosedragger - is actively seeking a taildragger with greater use than the tandem 2 seat Citabria.
Also, I dug around on the faa.gov website for a stick conversion on our PA-22's - no luck. The PA-22/20 or two I know of installed the PA-16 system. The way the seating is configured on the Tripacer, there seems to be some interference with the control system. Any thoughts?
    Thanks again,
    Allen, a.k.a.; Chief Mac
PS: you are going to love that RV-10!

    Allen,
    Certainly!
The Pacer is going to be a bit trickier on the ground than the Citabria, shorter coupled and quicker to deviate from the desired path unless corrections are made early. Yoke vs. stick--won't take him long to adjust. I learned taildraggers in a J-4 then took right to an M4 Maule (stick to yoke). If I were him, I wouldn't sweat converting to a stick (I didn't know you could even do it, btw).Any other questions, ask away.

There are no STC's for a stick conversion for the PA 22. In the past, a couple of people have gotten a "One-Time" STC's for this conversion but, not likely now days. It is a big deal. They used the Clipper system but, moved it just forward of the seat. Eddie Trimmer has an STC he sells to modify your yoke to a single grip, sort of like a stick. Frankly, yokes are fine.
