Martin fabric clips on Univair ribs
Anybody tried these? I’m trying too smooth and clean up the wing surfaces, I read Steve’s post from a few years ago, but can’t find a lot of information?

I think rib stitching would be faster and look better.

Re: Martin fabric clips on Univair ribs
The Univair ribs have such a sharp edge, I was thinking it would be hard on the lacing.

Re: Martin fabric clips on Univair ribs
I'd use the pop rivets or apply tape to the edges of the ribs and rib stitch. The clips are a pain and not approved on those ribs.

Thanks Steve, what is up with the kink in that rear spar? Do you prefer stitching over riveting, it seems like rivets would be a pain the xxx if you ever had to open it up. Thanks for your thoughts. Greg

Re: Martin fabric clips on Univair ribs
That is what happens when someone doesn't check the wind sock and lands downwind in a Pacer.

Rivets are legal? Certified pa22 or experimental?
On what ribs?

Re: Martin fabric clips on Univair ribs
I taped the edges of the Univair ribs I used to replace damaged Piper ribs.
