    I'm in the process of installing the solid state swithch in place of the original. Can someone advise how to disconect the origial wire splices?

    Figured it out this AM. Stripped insulation with razor blade to expose hand shake splices.

    I forgot to look for an original. Sounds like you have a better solution. Which one did you use?
