    Default Engine options

If money was no option what Lycoming 4 cylinder would you install on an experimental stock length fuselage Pacer? (I)O-320, (I)O-340, (I)O-360, (I)O-370 or (I)O-390. I appreciate your feedback...Thanks!

I think I would prefer the O-340 Titan engine. Lighter and 180 hp would be nice.

Enough talk.. git r done. When I read about the 340 I wanted one than realized not legal for my plane.. I would probably go with a nicely tuned o320, but we need to put this to a test now and find out which one is the best performer.. get some solid numbers, one airframe and one of each engine 390 340 360 and 320 with a few different props and have a shootout

More power is always nice. My 180 is not set up for short strips but I can't as yet get it
into the length of fields I can get out of right now. Certainly O-360 as a start point
and then compare engine weights above that (might not be significant). Fuel Injection
almost a must have as well as a better exhaust setup.

A heavy engine on a stock Pacer will change the landing characteristics. I like the idea of getting more power out of a lighter engine.

Would you stay fixed pitch or constant speed? And would you go 2 or 3 blade?

MT, constant speed is a nice option and fairly light weight and quite expensive, Cato fixed props are lighter and are great performers and reasonably priced. What would be the mission? Cross country with long cruises, short back country strips or....?
