New to me, new caretaker of Fly Baby N966.
First flight day for me on a beautiful fall day in Northern Illinois.

    Hi,

A friend of mine, hangared at Oshkosh, is rebuilding a Fly Baby she owned about thirty years ago. https://www.facebook.com/tracy.lifeisanadventure The old fuselage was in bad shape stored in a barn for quite a few years. Little by little she's turning it around.

Looks awesome! I've always wanted something like this or a biplane to have some fun in!

Friend of mine just got his Flybaby going again after 20 years. He helped build it when he was a kid, and ended up flying it up to Alaska and back.

There have to be some interesting stories there.

Yes there are. He has a rough draft of a book that he hopes to publish "when he gets around to it". He gave it to me to read last year. There is some really good material there, but he'll need to hire an aviation-minded editor to make it coherent. Come to think of it, this might actually be worth its own thread...
