It is very strong and pretty light. It doesn't have quite the arc that our tip bows have. It is also used on the Cub Crafters certified X and NX Cubs.

So what do they use to curb corrosion? Pro seal, epoxy or urethane. I wood keep the wood. Pun intended

Is that an adhesion as well as a barrier? Dip the rivets?

The EX manuals don't say anything about dipping the rivets but they are all stainless steel.

I have been very busy with work, racing, and other stuff. I have the left wing just about done, I just need to apply the finishing tapes and inspection ring doilies. They messed up my Poly Fiber order and sent some untinted Poly Brush, that's why the fabric is not pink. No difference in the product, or its usage. I made a complete set of control cables, except for the aileron cable that attaches to the yoke pulleys, as I don't want to buy the tools to make the crimped on ball. they look to be in good shape. As soon as this wing is done, I will swap it for the right wing and get that one done. Then I can start on the fabric on the fuselage while the paint shop gets the wings and all the new sheetmetal parts painted. Definitely feel like I am over the hump on the project!

You can get Poly-Fiber to send you the pink tinting to add to clear Polybrush. I used the clear on my Super Cub fuselage in the baggage area because I didn't install a headliner and didn't want to see the pink. Was a.littlr harder to tell where I had brushed.

Good to know. I ended up returning the untinted and getting tinted moving forward.

Is it necessary to have inspection rings aft of the rear spar? I don't recall.

I believe there are two at the wing root to get to the flap bell crank and aileron attachment and one where to strut attachment bolts are. I also think there is a Piper drawing showing the factory inspection cover locations.
