question, I have the airtex wool headliner up and ready for shrinking. Will it shrink this much or do I have to pull it tight first before trying to shrink it? And what is the process for shrinking it?

Wow, I hope you can get all that excess pulled out of there. I sewed mine from using the plans and dint have those wrinkles at the seam's or any excess. Wonder how airtex came up with that baggy mess?
Please post some more pics of your progress. Were all about pics around here!
When you pull the sides down and the front and back down taught and glue them that baggy mess goes away and you will end up with a few small wrinkles that easily steam out.
The sides were not fully trimmed out yet in the first picture but they were glued.

Just a thought. When re installing a headliner what's the go to now for insulation? Using straight fg seems like a recipe for disaster as it holds moisture. Over the cabin would be the only place I'd use it, mainly to keep the hot summer rays from baking through.
