    Default Replacement Data Plates

Piper released a Service Spares Letter a few days ago with procedures on obtaining a replacement data plate. Wasn't to hard a few years ago but this looks like it might take a silver tongue and a lot of leg work.

A lot of BS there. FAA won’t register a “project” airplane if the registration expired so an owner would be in a Catch 22, can’t register due to the destroyed or scrapped Order and Piper won’t issue a replacement data plate if the airplane isn’t registered!
