Well, I like to dabble in a little B.S. time to time, but it sure is great to hear a professional!!!

I am so glad I came back to this post for selfish reasons. I really enjoyed Ric D and Peter L exchange, but I digress. I have pictures of two "Piper" rheostats. The big one I have seen before. Can anyone ID the small one?

Does anyone have or know where I can get an Ivory knob for the Piper Light Switch. I have checked with McFarland and Univair with no luck. The knob had a 1/4" with a set screw. I would be interested in a whole switch as well.

    Clayton,
I think I have one. I'll check at the hangar this weekend.

    Clayton,
    Here you go.
It's yours if you want it. Just let me know where to send it.

Here is the repair I wrote up, it keeps the system all original:

    https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&p...DZkYjkyMDQ2MWQ

I found it about 1/2 way down the page of Andys site under: Dimmer-InstPanel-Repair

    https://sites.google.com/site/shortw...ations-repairs

Make sure you read the entire post, especially the last paragraph, you can re-use your old rheostat shaft rather than modify the new one.

    Good luck, Steve
