    Driving them isn't the deal to me it is drilling the new blocks on the wing straight and lining up both sides. I usually drill halfway from one side and halfway from the other. I do remember the shop end length prior to driving is way more critical than an AD aluminum rivet.

    The real problem is that piper did not drill the holes at a 90 degree. When you drill through it is impossible to track the same. I made a "C" shaped drill guide that allows the drill to track the original hole path from the steel outer hinge peice

    Not drilling 90 degrees is the same issue with rudder steering arms, front and rear stabilizer liner tubes and probably some other places I can't think of right now.
