I had a business contact in San Diego - he was not a well person after a night on Aussie beer!

Went to an Aussie bar that had opened in SD and spent the night drinking "sump oil with a head on it!"
We established it was Cooper Stout (brewed in the bottle - black as tar and tastes like it).
My dear old Dad drank it for 60 odd years but we never ever tried to match him - it's got a kick like a bad tempered mule.
