ShortWingPipers.Org Will Be at the Alaska Airmen's Show in Anchorage, AK
ShortWingPipers.Org will be at the Alaska Airmen's Show in Anchorage, Alaska May 1 and 2. Thanks to Vicki at Tamarack Air for helping me with this and SJ for letting us hang our banner in the Super Cub.Org booth. Will be plenty of chairs to sit around and talk Short Wings. I can't wait since this is one of the shows I have always wanted to attend but never made it happen. Will be great to meet our Alaskan contingent. And yes Steve (Airwrench) I intend to take you up on that left seat time in your Producer. Can't wait. Maybe I can meet MCS Mike, Eddie Trimmer, BatPacer, nicka, StPat, Troy, eskflyer, GeronimoDriver and AKhunter02.

Exciting to think I might be able to go...if the weather allows...hope to see you there. Might see if skydogk is headed in too.

Ah, I knew I would leave someone out. Sorry Skydoc.

Steve
dont let a -1000 ft Density Altitude day around Anchorage fool you up there and be sure to take your sun glasses for those 10PM flights

skydogk, if you do end up trying to fly in, let me know and we may be able to arrange an air convoy.

Getting ready for the big show. Thanks to SJ at SuperCub.org and Vicki at Tamarack Air in Fairbanks we are having a big shindig at the Millennium Saturday evening starting at 6. We have reserved a banquet room, a cash bar and there will be a finger food type buffet. Several vendors have donated really nice door prizes. The get-together will include a really great finger-food buffet thanks to the sponsorship dollars from some of our favorite vendors, friends and local businesses!
The menu includes "guy" selections approved by Vicki's husband -- swedish meatballs, chicken wings, quesedillas, submarine sandwiches and pretzels; and several "chick" foods picked by the gals in the Tamarack Air store -- mini quiches, peel and eat shrimp and finger sandwiches.
And one unpronounceable selection and unknown item -- spanakopita -- chosen purely because of the number of letter a's in the name.
As well as a cash bar, coffee etc... and free sodas for the designated drivers/pilots.
Thanks so far to Glacier Air Parts in Palmer, the crew at Atlee Dodge, Univair, Pacific Oil Cooler, Alaskan Bushwheel and Steve Conatser at Airframe Alterations in Fairbanks.
Please fill out the survey here if you think you might attend so that we can plan appropriately. Trying to get Eddie Trimmer there as well.

Steve, I'd love to attend the Saturday evening bash, but will have my entire family in tow as well as additional kids from the swim team...so probably not an option. But I do hope to break away from the swim meet to check out the show...

I know how that goes Troy. Hope to meet you there.
