Langley Park Perth Flyin - October 2011
We don't have a Reklaw or Johnsons Creek but I will really be trying to get to this one.
The SAAA (Aussie EAA) in West Australia has just announced a one off reintroduction of the Perth Langley Park flyin.
Perth is the WA capital and Langley Park was the local aerodrome in the 1920's and 30's. It is now a city park with the Swan river on one side and the city proper on the other. (Google Earth it - it's right on the edge of the city.)
One a year the Perth city council used to allow a one day flyin when all sorts of SAAA aircaft were allowed to fly in and land for the day. It's a real buzz as you are landing within spitting distance of the city buildings and something I have always wanted to do. It has not been allowed for a number of years, but now it's on again.
I suspect it will be a onecer so I will be working my butt off to make sure I get a picture of Patsy with the Perth city skyline in the background.

Now that sounds (and looks on the map) like fun. A lot of fun.
