    I talked to the manufacturer of the LED bulbs before I got a set of the wingtip lights and they said it is perfectly acceptable to use the original colored lenses with their bulbs. They seem to be about the same intensity as the originals.

    So if I understand correctly, these landing light bulbs are drop-ins for the 4509s? What would be the approval basis, or is a field approval required?

    Yes they are a drop in and they are a PMA'd replacement part.

    Yes, as of today, Aircraft Spruce in Canada has sent an enquire to the head office for a special price for SWPC owners. I will be on top of this and will get back asap.
