    Default Sunset Flying...Spring is Coming

Stacy and I had a chance to go out this past Monday night for a little cruise around the area at sunset. It was glassy smooth and really gorgeous out. Just thought I would share a few pictures with the group. More pictures can be seen on our Flickr Photostream.

Hope everyone is getting out to do some flying. Spring is coming!

Our flying has been severely limited since the first of the year, due mostly to snow, and now mud. I have only flown once in the past 9 weeks.

    Dave,

Great Pictures!! I like the sun reflecting off the bottom of your wing. Wish mine was that shiny to be able to do that

What is that white stuff? Went out last night with a kid from Alaska working for me through winter and he was wearing shorts. We had a great time exploring new gravel bars and letting the dog run wild exploring while we did the same. Those kind of evenings are unforgettable.

I've been able to get out at least one or twice a month this last winter. A little bumpy at times, but mostly favorable conditions. This winter was good for brushing up on technic in prep for summer back country flying. Love those slips with full flaps when practising power failure landings - of course right above the airport.

Was able to get out today and put 1.8 hours on. Flew to pick up the case for an 0320 E2C that I will be using in my Tailwind (another shortwing). Building up the engine mount now.
