    Default Lycomimg flywheel needed

Guys, I'm looking to find a source for a flywheel for the 0-320 150 hp on my Tri-Pacer. Not sure of the part number but I will count the number of teeth tomorrow and maybe we can narrow it down. I've looked in Trade-a-plane and on Barnstormers but have found nothing.

    Thanks,

    Kevin

I've done some business with Dick Waters @ Air-Tech. If you can get the right p/n to match up with what he has, he can save you some $. Google his site or call (800-366-4746).

Thanks guys, you are a big help. Everybody I've talked to says I need part #68867 122 tooth flywheel. The flywheel that is on the airplane is part#68506 122 tooth flywheel. I don't see #68506 listed anywhere for an 0-320. Seems as though I may have the incorrect part on the airplane. Would anybody be willing to look at their's and see what they have? The number is stamped right on the back just below the teeth.

    Thanks,

    Kevin

I did some more research. It looks like part number 68867 consists of part number 68506(support assembly) and part number 60882(ring gear). Obviously there are two different ring gears depending on the number of teeth, 122 vs 149.

So do you need the entire fly wheel or just the starter ring gear?

    I have 1 or 2 flywheels I can sell.

This may be a stupid question but our starter gear just came off the flywheel. I assume that's not a 'normal' thing and probably indicates a broken part. If so, can/should we just buy a new starter gear or the whole thing as an assembly? Seems like this would be a pricey proposition. Any estimates on a ballpark?

Oh yeah, we have a 0-290D2

Any idea what caused this. The steel ring gear gets heated and and dropped on the cast aluminum flywheel. That would be way cheaper than the entire assembly if your flywheel isn't damaged.
