Sorry to hear that as well.
    Any irons in the fire?

Some. I'm leaving here on my own, they want me to stay. Not sure exactly what's next. Though I wish I had a plane to fly. Still probably end up with a Pacer or Stinson again at some point. Depends what kind of pay check I find, maybe I'll get one of each!

Thanks for checking into the gap seal, Tadpole. Best of luck to you!

I saw a plane in the late nineties that had the EXACT same gap seals on it. The owner said he thought they were a commercially available extrusion but he didn't put then there so wasn't sure. I have never seen the same thing again until now, maybe Tadpole can do some digging and find out who the supplier is? Hint hint.

I found this at Aircraft Spruce - looks similar, not sure if it's the same extrusion -

I have some of that and it won't work on a Piper.

I am using gap seals like Ms. Pearl. I manufactured them and got them approved on a 337. have been flying them for about 8 years.

I know who supplies it and it's not some aircraft place like Spruce or anything, just somebody who makes the stuff to our specifications, specially for us.

They should sell a "Field Approval Kit"
We sell it, you get the Field Approval.
I'd sign a piece of paper stating that, so I could buy some, and then get a field approval.

    Stc would be better tho.

Why can you put tape on without a 337 but not this stuff?
