I put the CC gap seals on my cub and noticed NO CHANGE with or without them.

    Denny,

Have you tried them on a Pacer?

I tried the Pitts/CC type on my Acro Sport II and the difference was noticeable. Better elevator feel around neutral, response at low speed, and slightly higher cruise speed.
Those wouldn't fit the Pacer, so I installed the Maule tapes instead. Any effect was marginal/barely noticeable. I'm about to replace the elevators, and will need to destroy the Maule tapes to get them off. I doubt that I'll bother to replace the tapes as they also trap red Australian dust that's almost impossible to get out!

No I sold my pacer to Don Lee when I got my cub. I never had any tail control issues with my pacer. I think gap seals are most like anything else it will vary from plane to plane.

I saw a mod on a Savage Cub at OSH some time back where they used what appeared to be a thin polycarbonate strip attached top and bottom of the stabiliser that extended back past the leading edge tube of the elevator a ways - seemed to be a good deal except in high dust areas you could get some abrasion between the strip and elevator with elevator deflection.

Have a pic of it somewhere and will try to post it when I find it.

Probably no good for the certified guys but maybe a proposition for the experimental guys.

    Cheers

Does CC's sell bulk material for experimental AC? I did not see it on their site.
